About Us The Pink Pencil was formed in March 2003 with one aim -- to provide SHARP, BRIGHT WRITING. We’ll write exactly what you need, when you need it -- to get a clear message across to your audience. The Pink Pencil taps into a network of competent and experienced writers and editors who bring with them experience from varied fields including journalism, public relations, marketing and advertising. AMY TAN / Director Amy Tan is the founder and director of The Pink Pencil. She has close to 10 years of experience as a journalist. She spent three years as a reporter and sub editor for an Asian information technology magazine. She then moved to the fast-paced world of broadcast journalism – producing business news programmes for CNBC Asia. Her writing skills were further honed as a correspondent with global news agency, Reuters, where she wrote on a vast variety of subjects, including business, politics and social commentary. Her articles have been published in newspapers such as the International Herald Tribune, the South China Morning Post and the Bangkok Post. Amy holds a business degree from the Pennsylvania State University, USA. She is also an active volunteer with the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) in Singapore and takes a keen interest in social issues within the local community. |
